About the job

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience defined as an additional 4+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in solution consulting, sales engineering, technical pre-sales, forward-deployed engineering, or comparable client-facing technical roles, with the ability to operate independently.
  • Hands-on technical experience configuring or building on Salesforce, such as administrator-level configuration, flows, validation rules, and other declarative or point-and-click tools, sufficient to build and run product demonstrations without engineering support.
  • Experience independently building and delivering at least five product demonstrations, proofs of concept, or comparable client-facing technical deliverables.
  • Experience supporting the pre-sales cycle, including technical discovery and translating client needs into solution approaches.
  • Ability to distinguish standard product capability from custom work and communicate that distinction clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating across Product Management, Engineering, Account, and Pursuit teams, including working directly with sales professionals in a pursuit setting.
  • Ability to travel 20–25% on average, depending on work and clients or industries served.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients alongside account, pursuit, and product teams to understand commercial workflows, data, integration needs, and success criteria for Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud.
  • Independently qualify product fit and feasibility, distinguish standard capability from client-specific customization, and help determine whether an opportunity remains product-led or is routed elsewhere.
  • Partner with the FastForward Sales Executive to shape opportunities, sequence pursuit milestones, and resolve technical objections throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build, own, and lead FastForward product demonstrations end to end by configuring demo environments, tailoring scenarios to client needs, and presenting to technical and business audiences.
  • Independently stand up and configure demo organizations and proof-of-concept environments.
  • Run fit-gap assessments and proof-of-value exercises that provide prospects a hands-on view of the platform before contracting.
  • Develop solution approaches and technical narratives with account, pursuit, product, and engineering teams.
  • Act as the technical bridge between the field and product organization, sharing client requirements, objections, and market signals with Product Management and Engineering to inform the product roadmap.
  • Support account teams with technical inputs to proposals, scoping boundaries, and transition-to-delivery clarity so qualified opportunities hand off cleanly.
  • Build reusable technical assets, reference configurations, and demo scripts from pursuit work.
  • Develop go-to-market and strategic documentation that supports pursuit strategy and product positioning.
  • Share demonstration and technical best practices with newer pFDEs and pursuit-team members.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Health Cloud, or Veeva CRM.
  • Hands-on client delivery and implementation experience with field force technology such as Veeva CRM, IQVIA OCE, or Salesforce.
  • Experience with Salesforce Agentforce or comparable AI-agent or generative AI capabilities embedded in enterprise applications.
  • Experience in life sciences or healthcare commercial technology environments, such as CRM, field engagement, patient services, or market access.
  • Prior experience as a Managed Services Consultant leading full-cycle technology implementation projects, ideally within Life Sciences Commercial or customer engagement platforms.
  • Prior experience providing ongoing administrative support after go-live as the product specialist for clients already up and running.
  • Experience building reusable demo assets, reference configurations, or accelerators for a product or pursuit team.
  • Familiarity with data loading, integration patterns, and CRM data models common to life sciences commercial operations, as well as command-line-interface-based deployment or configuration-as-code approaches.

About the company

Deloitte audits companies and advises businesses and governments on tax, technology, and risk, and it is one of the Big Four, the world's four largest accounting firms. In 1849 its founder became the first independent auditor of a public company, Britain's Great Western Railway. Its auditors check companies' financial reports for errors and fraud before investors rely on them, while its consultants design strategy, install business software, and defend clients against cyberattacks. Clients pay fees for each audit or project, and each country's Deloitte firm is a separate business owned by its local partners. Deloitte was founded in London in 1845 and is based in New York.

What critics are saying

  • Tech consulting is lagging: it grew 2.5% in the year to May 2026, the slowest of Deloitte's four businesses.
  • Back-office benefits are shrinking: Deloitte US will halve parental leave to 8 weeks for internal staff in January 2027.
  • Federal work brings scrutiny: Deloitte agreed to pay $21.5 million in August 2026 over claims diversity targets swayed promotions.

AI forces companies to rethink hiring practices as job applications surge and entry-level pipelines shrink

Business Insider convened 15 HR and C-suite leaders in Davos to discuss how AI is reshaping hiring and talent pipelines. The roundtable, presented by Indeed, revealed growing concerns about entry-level positions and skills assessment. Deloitte's Elizabeth Faber emphasised maintaining a "human-led, technology-powered" approach whilst carefully navigating reduced junior hiring. TCW's Melissa Stolfi noted her firm has downsized its analyst class but maintains a pyramid structure to preserve apprenticeship culture and future leadership pipelines. Indeed's chief economist Svenja Gudell warned that whilst tech employers now demand five-plus years' experience, this creates future talent shortages if junior hiring continues declining. Salesforce's Nathalie Scardino said her company receives two million applications annually and has shifted focus from years of experience to learning aptitude. Manpower Group's Becky Frankiewicz noted AI can process candidates faster whilst reducing bias, potentially unlocking opportunities beyond traditional qualifications.

Deloitte to hire 50,000 employees in India, eyes Mangaluru expansion

Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 employees in India and is evaluating Mangaluru, Karnataka, as a potential new location, according to South Asia CEO Romal Shetty. The company currently employs 140,000 people in India, representing one in four Deloitte employees globally. Shetty said India hosts 50% of all global capability centres worldwide, with significant growth potential in Tier II and Tier III cities. He proposed creating digital economic zones integrating GCCs, GPU-based data centres, startups and academic institutions to accelerate expansion. The CEO called for streamlining GCC setup processes from six months to two weeks, whilst acknowledging infrastructure constraints around energy and water for data centres. Shetty noted Mangaluru offers advantages including talent availability and real estate, adding the company's presence there is a matter of timing.
