Requirements

An associate's degree from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
An active Physical Therapist Assistant license from the Physical Therapy Board of California is required.
Current American Heart Association CPR certification is required.
A valid driver's license and reliable insured vehicle are required.
Willingness to travel to patient homes is required.
Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, following each patient's care plan.
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait and transfer training, and use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetics.
Apply physical modalities including heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage to relieve pain and restore function.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the Physical Therapist and care team.
Document care accurately and on time, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
Perform other duties as required for patient services.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Best Home Health Providers, you will work alongside a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover, regain mobility, and return to the activities they love — all from the comfort of their homes.

Please note that this role is per diem with a rate of $95 per visit.

Requirements

Active PTA license from the Physical Therapy Board of California.
Current CPR certification with AHA.
