- Be a final-year engineering-school student or a Master 2 student (Bac+5), specializing in electronics, electrical engineering, embedded systems, mechatronics, or automation.
- Have basic knowledge of electronics and electronic components.
- Have initial experience in modeling or simulation, ideally using MATLAB/Simulink.

- Define and conduct aging and characterization tests, including tests using samples from the Repar’Store campaign.
- Revise and expand the existing MATLAB model linking capacitor characteristics to motor behavior, and compare it with experimental results.
- Analyze measurement data using statistical and machine-learning approaches to identify aging-related parameters or signatures and assess whether degradation can be predicted.
- Deliver consolidated knowledge, particularly about phase-shifting capacitors; test protocols and results; a consolidated MATLAB model; and a machine-learning data analysis identifying relevant predictive-maintenance indicators.
