Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain FLIP and EFB procedures, systems, and databases in accordance with prevailing Air Force Instructions governing EFB usage.
  • Update, inventory, assign, and maintain EFB systems as an OMD Program Manager.
  • Identify, address, and elevate EFB requirements and concerns to leadership and the MAJCOM EFB Program Manager.
  • Attend monthly ACC PM meetings, address unit concerns, and brief newly established updates to the Chief of Stan/Eval for unit implementation.
  • Serve as the Wing EFB system administrator, ensuring devices are configured, issued, tracked, updated, and maintained as required; may also serve as the Wing EFB Mobile Device Management administrator.
  • Assist Technical Order Distribution Officers in providing aircrews with current electronic flight publications and guidance on approved methods for keeping required publications up to date on EFBs.
  • Work with unit CCV and SELO officers to provide aircrew with current electronic flight publications using approved methods on BOX, GoodReader, and ForeFlight accounts.
  • Provide the MAJCOM EFB Program Manager with feedback on operational assessments and development of EFB solutions.
  • Assist with establishing an EFB Program Manager organizational mailbox.
  • Assist enforcement of standardization and evaluation policy applicable to the EFB program, including currency of required flight publications.
  • Work with unit RAs, 15/154 OG, and vendors to purchase annual technology refreshes and establish ACC baseline configuration standards on newly procured devices.
  • Generate, publish, and track FCIFs and SIIs, using aviation operations knowledge to assist implementation.
  • Update, track, and generate aircrew evaluations using AF Forms 8, 3862, and 942; brief Squadron leadership weekly on status updates and scheduling concerns regarding completion timelines; advise leadership on Air Force guidance concerning waivers and requalification requirements.
  • Audit files across PEX, ARTIMS, Purebred, and DCAST to ensure accurate compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Generate AF Forms 1522 and 4324 to update aircrew qualifications.
  • Memorize and implement AFI 11-202 Volume 2, MDS Volumes 1–3, the CAF Syllabus, Wing Program Guides, AFMAN 11-421, AFMAN 11-418, and other applicable guidance, acting as a Unit subject-matter expert on Air Force operations and inspections.
  • Review which pilots have evaluations due within the next 30 days.
  • Update qualification records after completing flights.
  • Prepare a readiness briefing for the squadron commander.
  • Audit Stan/Eval files to ensure they are ready for inspection.
  • Maintain IGEMS and MICT checklists, assign points of contact, and validate unit checklists annually as Squadron Assessment Program Manager.
  • Coordinate with PACAF Inspector General personnel on inspection requirements and schedules.
  • Represent squadron leadership to installation leadership, including General Officers at the O-7 through O-10 levels, to communicate and address operations data.
  • Track when crew members will be on leave, temporary duty, scheduled medical appointments, or other scheduling commitments.
  • Track daily flight, ground, and academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate accurate flight scheduling as directed by the operations officer.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in building the unit Annual Flying Hour Program.
  • Coordinate with the training officer to review and update student and permanent-party records, folders, and grade books according to applicable Air Force Instructions, supplements, and local guidance.
  • Notify crew members, scheduling personnel, and unit leadership of upcoming and overdue testing, evaluation, and training requirements by email, telephone, or in person.
  • Perform testing administrator duties for the unit.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of aircrews entering the first month of their evaluation eligibility period.
  • Build long- and short-range flight schedules to ensure full coverage of aircrew, instructor, evaluator, support personnel, and supervisor positions; coordinate daily and weekly with senior squadron leadership.
  • Deconflict crew-member schedules and work with flight leadership to ensure crews are available to meet assigned sortie taskings.
  • Facilitate last-minute schedule changes to ensure full coverage by working with the current mission commander or operations supervisor and the flight responsible for an undermanned shift.
  • Obtain aircraft and equipment availability data from maintenance and schedule crew members for training, exercises, simulators, and operations as required.
  • Publish and post scheduling data for unit long- and short-range ground, academic, flying, and simulator training-event schedules on PEX, GTIMS, GDSS II, or other computer database systems.
  • Determine flight, ground, and simulator scheduling requirements for upgrade, initial qualification, requalification, transition, currency, and continuation training based on syllabus requirements, student progression, weather, and daily equipment and training-range availability.
  • Perform daily updates of scheduling data to compensate for changing conditions and training completion rates.

  • Experience working with PEX, GTIMS, or a similar proprietary scheduling program.
  • Experience working in a Flying Squadron, Group, or Wing Stan/Eval office.
