  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in power electronics design and development, with a focus on electric vehicle applications
  • Proven leadership experience, including project coordination
  • Strong proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools for power electronics design
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to power conversion and distribution
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design and development of power conversion and distribution systems for Scout pickup trucks and SUVs
  • Provide technical expertise in power electronics, including converter/inverter design, battery management systems, and charging systems
  • Develop requirement documentation, oversee DFMEA activities and design reviews for power electronics components
  • Develop and execute rigorous testing and validation protocols to verify the performance and reliability of power conversion and distribution systems
  • Ensure that all power conversion and distribution systems meet or exceed relevant industry standards, certifications, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to select and manage suppliers for power electronics components, ensuring quality and reliability
  • Mentor a team of engineers responsible for power electronics, converters, inverters, and distribution systems
