Requirements
  • Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a degree in English, Engineering, or relevant degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to write detailed technical documents.
  • Sample required (can be from Technical Communication class, reports and articles written for engineering class).
  • Willingness to learn new processes, procedures, and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with colleagues in multiple departments.
  • Advanced computer software skills with MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and OneDrive/SharePoint.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technical support, engineers, and writer to gain and in-depth understanding of HYPACK’s DREDGEPACK®, and other products.
  • Support engineers and tech support with new documents and documentation updates.
  • Support marketing with outgoing emails, brochures, and articles.
  • Update existing technical documents to reflect changes in engineering and/or software design.
  • Create and/or edit figures and drawings using image-editing software.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the general goals of the Technical Writing team.
