Requirements
  • Maintain current certification in the fitness or wellness modality being taught.
  • Complete training or certification in trauma-sensitive practices.
  • Provide safe and engaging live virtual instruction.
  • Understand participant safety and Veteran-specific needs.
  • Provide instruction through two-way video.
  • Maintain a reliable internet connection and appropriate device or equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead safe, engaging, and trauma-sensitive wellness sessions for Veterans and VA staff through two-way video.
  • Provide live online wellness classes, including modalities such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, Tai Chi/Qi Gong, Pilates/Barre, HIIT, resistance training, and aerobics.
  • Provide at least five live classes per day Monday through Friday and two live classes per day on weekends, during scheduled daytime or evening hours.
