Fluency in English and Cantonese.
At least 90% English proficiency.
A steady wired internet connection.
A USB wired headset.
A Windows 10 or Mac computer.
At least six months of interpretation experience is preferred.
Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
Ability to render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocols, avoiding omissions or additions.
Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication when permitted or requested by the client.

Responsibilities

Answer calls professionally and follow the interpreter’s code of conduct.
Be aware of industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.
Participate in internal professional training.
Communicate and report to the team leader.
