Requirements
  • Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances under company policy.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel as specified; this includes pushing or pulling 60 pounds and lifting or carrying 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to see, hear, read, learn, concentrate, think, and communicate.
  • Must know proper handling of linens, terry, supplies, and housekeeping equipment while considering sanitation and cost controls.
  • Must know guestroom cleaning procedures, safety and security measures, training-checklist guidelines, and housekeeping materials and equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision and as a team member.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with guests and co-workers, including through messages and communication log books.
  • Must be able to learn and use computer systems necessary for daily tasks, including Quore and Hotel Effectiveness.
  • Must exercise discretion to maintain guest privacy.
  • Must be available to work any day or shift, including weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Clean vacant dirty rooms to guest-ready status and return occupied dirty rooms to occupied clean status within specified time, accuracy, and brand-standard requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance in accordance with grooming and uniform standards.
  • Follow housekeeping cleaning procedures and the training checklist for every assignment.
  • Follow general cleaning procedures every 90 days.
  • Report discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
  • Help maintain hotel areas such as associate breakrooms, restrooms, public areas, stairwells, and back-of-house areas in clean and orderly condition.
  • Respond immediately to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Follow emergency procedures and address the safety and security needs of guests and associates.
  • Maintain designated minutes per room and follow the company’s systematic cleaning procedures.
  • Assist with guest issues while maintaining professional and hospitable service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that the associate is capable of performing.
