Responsibilities
  • Provide feedback on product and technical specifications to help engineers identify where to cut scope or improve quality, and influence and coach individual contributors to reach the right decisions.
  • Grow engineers to the point where they can take large, loosely defined projects and deliver them with little intervention, while knowing when to ask for help.
  • Jump into systems and code to debug a customer issue, ship a small bug fix, or improve the developer experience.
  • Improve how the company generates and simulates data in demo accounts, understanding that this is off the critical path but has significant business impact.
  • Provide mentorship and feedback to engineers to ensure they are successful when delivering projects.

  • Experience building and mentoring teams with a hands-on technical focus.
  • Ability to design and implement automation that powers processes (for example, automating PR workflows or similar efficiencies).
  • Proven track record of introducing processes that improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary reviews, such as enabling engineers to merge a substantial percentage of pull requests without mandatory human review and building the automation behind it.
  • Willingness to stay technically hands-on and continue coding where appropriate, while serving in a leadership role.
