Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable through the company's vehicle insurance.
Must pass a full FBI, federal, and state background check covering all states lived in.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working directly with children, or two years of social service-related education.
Swing-shift and weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with Health and Human Services, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and requirements of other county and state agencies.
Provide adequate supervision to children to ensure safety, including pursuing clients for long distances if necessary.
Use trauma-informed de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention skills, and behavioral management strategies to maintain safety.
Complete written, typed, and verbal communication documentation and reports.
Maintain professional boundaries through appropriate behavior.
Teach daily living skills, emotional regulation, communication skills, personal responsibility, and healthy relationship development.
Prepare and serve meals, and document meals.
Supervise chores and household maintenance, ensuring the appearance of the household and vehicle.
Conduct and document safety checks and emergency drills.
Implement CPR and First Aid as needed.
Transport clients using a company vehicle.
Participate in meetings and training, and implement policies and treatment plans.
Offer medication to clients as prescribed and document it.

Job Summary:
Provide direct care, supervision, behavior support, and skill-building services for children and adolescents in a residential treatment setting. Support youth affected by trauma, abuse, neglect, emotional and behavioral challenges, developmental disabilities, and mental health needs. Use trauma-informed interventions, behavior management techniques, and relationship-based care to promote safety, stability, and growth.
