Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License Class A with a Department of Transportation health card is required.
  • Experience with flatbed trailer hauling, including securing and transporting non-standard or uniquely shaped cargo, is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work in active construction sites and meet or exceed the CSA safety rating.
  • The candidate must use electronic logging devices, phones, GPS, tablets, dispatching systems, tracking and photo-reporting tools, and load-order management technologies effectively.
  • The candidate must be able to work approximately 45 hours per week, including evenings and early mornings.
  • The candidate must be able to sit frequently and occasionally kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
  • The candidate must be able to bend or stand as necessary for up to a 10-hour shift.
  • The candidate must be able to move or lift objects regularly weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Hard-toe boots are required.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver finished assemblies to jobsites in local markets and across the company's national footprint.
  • Operate company-owned Kenworth sleeper cabs with manual transmissions.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and organized and maintain mileage details.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspection reports and report maintenance concerns or compliance issues to the Logistics Supervisor.
  • Follow local, state, and federal Department of Transportation regulations and company vehicle and driver policies and procedures.
  • Follow site safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Coordinate with management, project teams, and site crews to ensure deliveries meet project deadlines.
  • Secure loads and assist with loading and unloading as needed.
  • Maintain paperwork related to the cab card, insurance, and other applicable documents.
  • Ensure safety-related equipment, including the fire extinguisher, accident kit, straps, and chains, is in good order.
