  • An Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing within the previous 90 days.
  • Proof of first authorization to take the National Council Licensure Examination.
  • Practice under the supervision of an individual licensed to practice professional nursing while awaiting licensure.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical abilities.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20–30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly, with emergency situations potentially requiring movement of up to 150 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching, and standing, along with keyboard or computer use and repetitive motions as required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patients' healthcare needs, formulate nursing diagnoses based on assessment data, and document data concisely and promptly.
  • Develop and follow plans of care prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Identify expected outcomes for plans of care individualized to the child, family, and situation.
  • Implement and coordinate care while employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.
  • Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with families in the conduct of nursing practice and make ethical decisions and actions on behalf of patients and families.
  • Integrate research findings into practice and, where appropriate, participate in generating new knowledge in innovative ways.
  • Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
  • Serve as a leader in the practice setting and in the nursing profession.
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing practice.
  • Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice when planning and delivering care.
