  • Understanding of software development life cycle phases including development, testing, deployment, maintenance and release governance.
  • Pricing domain knowledge including price books, price lists, promotions, discounts, taxation, regional pricing and price-engine integrations.
  • Working knowledge of delivery automation, version control, deployment strategies and DevOps collaboration sufficient to govern cross-functional delivery.
  • Ability to lead multiple commerce capability areas across discovery, cart and checkout, order management, customer accounts, promotions, content, search, merchandising and customer service touchpoints.
  • Ability to assess commerce platform capability fit, define functional architecture inputs, lead fit-gap analysis and guide business trade-off decisions with clients, architects and delivery leads.
  • Ability to collaborate with product owners, experience designers, architects and engineering teams to convert experience and business objectives into implementation-ready backlog items.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Business Analysis workstream across eCommerce, configure-price-quote or pricing delivery, with accountability for the Business Analysis strategy, team mobilization, requirements governance, quality standards and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with client Product Owners, senior business sponsors, solution architects, sales and delivery leaders to shape scope, roadmap, commercial propositions and prioritization decisions.
  • Lead executive and senior stakeholder workshops to frame business problems, define measurable outcomes, identify value levers and align on transformation and implementation approaches.
  • Guide as-is and to-be process design, capability mapping, gap analysis, backlog strategy and release scoping across multiple functional areas.
  • Direct, build and quality-assure epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules, functional specifications and decision records produced by the Business Analysis team.
  • Identify solution options and make recommendations that balance business value, user experience, platform constraints, delivery risk and technical complexity.
  • Own requirements traceability, change impact analysis and decision management across discovery, inception, construction, user acceptance testing and release.
  • Lead cross-functional governance and delivery forums involving client business users, product owners, sales, user experience, architecture, engineering, quality assurance, data and integration teams, and programme management.
  • Own resolution and executive escalation of complex functional, delivery and scope issues, driving timely decisions and clear accountability.
  • Lead estimation, staffing, transition planning, pre-sales and request-for-proposal responses, solution demonstrations, reusable assets and practice or capability development as required.
  • Represent the Business Analysis function independently to client executives, account leadership and delivery leadership.
  • Own complex and ambiguous eCommerce problems, mobilize the right stakeholders and drive structured recommendations.
  • Lead, coach and performance-enable a team of Business Analysts; allocate work, review outputs, build capability and ensure consistency, quality and delivery readiness.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through consultative selling, value-led storytelling, negotiation and clear recommendation of decision options.
  • Contribute to account growth and delivery health by identifying opportunities, risks, dependencies, capability gaps and continuous improvement actions.
  • Build trusted client relationships, identify follow-on opportunities and collaborate with sales and solution teams to progress qualified opportunities.
  • Be accountable for Business Analysis workstream plans, estimates, staffing needs, milestones, risks, dependencies and the quality of functional deliverables.
  • Establish reusable methods, templates and quality gates, and contribute to hiring, mentoring and capability development for the Business Analysis practice.
  • Lead multiple capability areas across commerce journeys, product configuration, guided selling, quotation, approvals, pricing, promotions, order management, content, search, merchandising and customer service touchpoints.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience across multiple commerce, configure-price-quote or pricing platforms.
  • Pre-sales, estimation and solution-shaping exposure.
  • Experience with platforms such as SAP Commerce/Hybris, commercetools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Revenue Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento, Shopify, PROS or Conga.
  • Relevant certification such as PSPO, CBAP, Agile Business Analysis, Scrum Master, commerce platform, configure-price-quote or pricing certification.
  • Search, merchandising, content management systems, customer data platforms, web analytics, payments, order management systems or customer service platform exposure.
  • PSPO I, PSPO II, CBAP, Agile Business Analysis, Scrum Master or relevant commerce platform certifications.
  • Exposure to headless commerce, composable commerce, microservices, event-driven integrations or cloud-native delivery.
  • Experience with automation pipelines, version control, deployment strategies or DevOps collaboration.

Accenture shares down 27%, but 11.5% yield available through put options at 35% discount

Accenture trades 37% below its 52-week high after falling 27% over the past year. In fiscal Q3 2026, new bookings declined and some managed services deals slipped into fiscal 2027. The company generated $73.1 billion in revenue over the past twelve months, with operating margins widening to 17% in Q3. Managed services revenue grew 5% in local currency. In the first nine months of fiscal 2026, clients made 104 quarterly bookings exceeding $100 million, up 13% year-on-year. Consulting revenue grew just 1% in local currency in Q3. Management attributes the slowdown to the Middle East conflict affecting regional and discretionary spending. The CEO acknowledged that client budgets have not been growing, with spending simply being redirected rather than increased.

Accenture appoints Emma Chalwin as chief marketing officer

Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as Chief Marketing Officer, effective 1 October 2026. She will oversee global marketing and communications, reporting to Chair and CEO Julie Sweet. Chalwin joins from Workday, where she served as CMO. She previously held senior marketing roles at Salesforce, Adobe, McAfee, and Macrovision, bringing over 30 years of global marketing leadership experience. Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue.
