About the job
- An associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or higher is required; Special Education, Psychology, or Education is preferred.
- Hands-on experience supporting students with special needs or learning differences, such as autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, or dyslexia, is required; currently enrolled college students with this experience are encouraged to apply.
- Commit to working with a student for the full school year.
- Have a reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes.
- Pass a background check.
- Lead engaging one-to-one sessions tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
- Implement creative lesson plans aligned with each student's individualized education program goals, using provided resources and team support.
- Adapt academic materials to each student's learning profile.
- Track progress after each session and communicate with parents and guardians.
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that builds students' confidence and resilience.
- A degree in Special Education, Psychology, or Education is preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish and English skills are a strong plus.
