Relevant experience in chaos engineering, resilience, or high-availability testing, with at least 5 years required; the posting also states 5–10 years of relevant experience.
Ability to analyze architecture and recommend areas vulnerable to failure or outages.
Ability to work with business and technology teams to identify and report resilience and high-availability requirements.
Ability to work with enterprise architecture and development teams to architect applications for high availability and resiliency.
Ability to troubleshoot failures in continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
Hands-on experience with Unix or Linux environments, operating system internals, file systems, disk and storage, and networking protocols.
Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, logging, virtual private clouds, proxies, load balancers, and availability zones.
Ability to diagnose and debug complex distributed systems.
Experience with at least one of Gremlin, Chaos Native, or Litmus.
Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Implement and lead execution of the chaos engineering lifecycle, including chaos test planning, test design, and reporting.
Ensure recovery and resilience testing is scheduled, staffed, executed, and documented, including remediation and closure of issues.
Design, develop, and execute automated or continuous chaos engineering experiments.
Automate chaos experiments using chaos engineering tools such as Gremlin, Chaos Native, or Litmus so they run continuously.
