About the job
- Former classroom teacher or classroom experience.
- Strong technology skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, especially with Chromebooks and iPads.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
- Dependability.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with students, school staff, and the Tutored by Teachers team.
- Ability to commit to on-site work at one or more schools in the Detroit area during school hours.
- Access to a car, driver's insurance, and ability to travel independently to school sites when accepting projects.
- Passion for education.
- Support students in logging into the Tutored by Teachers platform.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during platform setup or use.
- Provide on-the-ground support to students and teachers to ensure smooth program implementation.
- Collaborate with school staff to address technology or classroom management issues.
- Communicate regularly with Tutored by Teachers Partner Success Managers about how engagements are running.
- Ensure classroom technology, including laptops and tablets, is functional and ready for use.

Tutored by Teachers provides personalized virtual tutoring for high-need K-12 students using small groups of experienced teachers. Sessions are online and can take place at school, at home, or both, scheduled within school calendars, with many teachers holding graduate degrees and SPED/ELL certifications.
