In certain instances, due to low enrollment, faculty payment will be based on part-time per credit pay and pro-rated on a 10% per student basis.
The faculty member will conduct their assignments and co-curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purpose of Aims Community College as stated in the school catalog. The primary purpose of the faculty member is to teach. Occasional travel may be required.
For the following courses: ACC 1001, 1002, 1025, 1032, 1033, 1035, 1038, 1075, 2011, 2012, 2026, 2031, 2065, 2068, 2075, 2089:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or business education plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience in the last seven years OR
Associate of applied science degree in accounting or business plus 4,000 hours of experience in the accounting field. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
For the following courses: ACC 1011, 1012, 1021, 1022:
Master’s degree in accounting or business administration plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience in the last seven years OR
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration or business education plus 4,000 hours of relevant industry experience in the last seven years. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
For the following courses: BUS 1011, 1020, 2003, 2081, 2085, 2089:
Bachelor’s degree in business, business education, or related business content area plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR
Associate of applied science degree in business plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
For the following courses: BUS 1015, 2016, 2017:
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree or master’s degree in business, business administration, accounting, finance, marketing, business education, or public administration or master’s degree including 18 graduate level credit hours in one of the disciplines they will be teaching plus 2,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years OR
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field (see listing in the master’s section) plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven (7) years OR
Substantial experience (more than ten years) of small business ownership. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
For the following course: BUS 2026:
Master’s degree in math or statistics plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field, math, or statistics plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years OR
Substantial experience (more than ten years) of small business ownership. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
For the following courses: MAN 1002, 1004, 1016, 1017, 1025, 1028, 1075, 2000, 2005, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2024, 2026, 2030, 2040, 2041, 2043, 2075, 2078, 2087:
Master of business administration degree plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR
Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, business education, marketing, public administration, finance, or a related business field plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR
Associate of applied science degree in a business related field plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
