Requirements
  • For ACC 1001, 1002, 1025, 1032, 1033, 1035, 1038, 1075, 2011, 2012, 2026, 2031, 2065, 2068, 2075, 2089 courses, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or business education plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience in the last seven years or an associate of applied science degree in accounting or business plus 4,000 hours of experience in the accounting field, with the condition that experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
  • For ACC 1011, 1012, 1021, 1022 courses, a master’s degree in accounting or business administration plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience in the last seven years or a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration plus 4,000 hours of relevant industry experience in the last seven years, with experience older than seven years considered if continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
  • For BUS 1011, 1020, 2003, 2081, 2085, 2089 courses, a bachelor’s degree in business, business education, or related business content area plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years or an associate of applied science degree in business plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years, with experience older than seven years considered if continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
  • For BUS 1015, 2016, 2017 courses, a Juris Doctorate degree or master’s degree in business, business administration, accounting, finance, marketing, business education, or public administration or a master’s degree including 18 graduate level credit hours in one of the disciplines they will be teaching plus 2,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years or a bachelor’s degree in a business related field plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years or substantial experience more than ten years of small business ownership (experience older than seven years considered if continuously teaching in the content area since that time).
  • For BUS 2026, a master’s degree in mathematics or statistics plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years or a bachelor’s degree in a business related field, mathematics, or statistics plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years or substantial experience more than ten years of small business ownership, with experience older than seven years considered if continuously teaching in the content area since that time.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of courses in Accounting depending on the candidate’s area of expertise, including Principles of Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Financial Accounting.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
