Requirements
  • The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance automation, software development engineer in test, or software engineering roles.
  • The candidate must have at least 2 years of production experience with Playwright.
  • The candidate must be proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • The candidate must have experience designing scalable test frameworks from scratch.
  • The candidate must understand continuous integration and continuous delivery systems and modern DevOps practices.
  • The candidate must have experience testing application programming interface-driven architectures and distributed systems.
  • The candidate should have previous experience in fintech, capital markets, or lending platforms.
  • The candidate should be familiar with loan lifecycle and servicing, private credit structures, cash flow modeling and waterfall structures, and financial reporting and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
  • Own the design and evolution of the automation testing framework, primarily using Playwright.
  • Establish best practices for end-to-end, integration, and regression testing.
  • Drive test coverage across critical financial workflows, including deal lifecycle, cash flows, and reporting.
  • Mentor engineers and quality assurance contributors and set test quality and maintainability standards.
  • Build and maintain robust Playwright test suites using TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Develop reusable testing utilities, fixtures, and continuous integration and continuous delivery integrations.
  • Implement parallelization, test isolation, and flakiness mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate tests into continuous integration pipelines such as GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
  • Translate complex financial workflows, including loan servicing, covenant tracking, and capital calls, into deterministic test cases.
  • Validate data integrity across application programming interfaces, databases, and reporting layers.
  • Collaborate with product and domain experts to identify edge cases and risk scenarios.
  • Define service-level agreements for test reliability and pipeline performance.
  • Monitor and improve test signal versus noise.
  • Introduce observability into testing through logs, traces, and artifacts.
  • Lead incident retrospectives related to quality gaps.
  • Implement and scale artificial intelligence-assisted test case generation from product requirements, user stories, and production data.
  • Use large language model-based tools to generate, refactor, and maintain Playwright test suites.
  • Build workflows for automated test creation, prioritization, and gap detection using artificial intelligence.
  • Evaluate and integrate tools for self-healing tests, intelligent selectors, and failure triaging.
  • Partner with engineering to incorporate artificial intelligence into broader development workflows, including code generation, debugging, and quality assurance automation.
  • Establish guardrails and validation strategies to ensure correctness and determinism in artificial intelligence-generated tests.
