About the company

Hoxhunt provides a gamified phishing training platform for organizations to improve employee cybersecurity awareness. It helps companies run phishing simulations and training modules that engage users through game-like activities, delivering real-time response data and analytics to track progress and tailor ongoing education. The product works by sending simulated phishing emails to employees, collecting their responses, and presenting immediate feedback and challenges, with dashboards that show metrics across the workforce. Hoxhunt differentiates itself with its emphasis on user engagement and continuous learning, using gamification and real-time analytics to make training an ongoing process rather than a one-off event. The company operates on a subscription model, serving businesses from its offices in Helsinki and London, with the goal of lowering organizational risk by making employees a stronger line of defense against phishing.

What believers are saying

  • August 20, 2026 toolkit positions Hoxhunt inside Cybersecurity Awareness Month planning cycles.
  • June 2026 employee counts near 305 show continued hiring, not contraction.
  • September 15, 2026 CSO50 wins validate enterprise demand for outcome-driven human risk management.

What critics are saying

  • Microsoft and Deloitte partnerships strengthen incumbents that can bundle awareness into broader security suites.
  • Standalone training commoditizes fast; Hoxhunt’s 2026 features invite copying by larger platforms.
  • If Microsoft 365 Security absorbs phishing training, Hoxhunt loses budget and renewal leverage by 2027.

What makes Hoxhunt unique

  • September 15, 2026 AI Content Studio turns policies into multilingual lessons in minutes.
  • Hoxhunt’s behavioral-science gamification still separates it from static compliance training vendors.
  • The September 2026 suite spans 300-plus modules and 40-plus languages, scaling globally.

Hoxhunt Respond cuts phishing tickets by 99% with automated email threat detection

Hoxhunt has expanded its email incident response automation platform, Hoxhunt Respond, which can reduce phishing tickets requiring analyst attention by up to 99% and remediate confirmed malicious campaigns in under one minute. The platform automatically investigates reported emails, groups related messages into single campaign-level incidents, and suppresses safe or duplicate reports. Once a threat is confirmed, it finds and removes matching messages across affected inboxes. Hoxhunt data shows that roughly 80% to 85% of employee-reported emails are benign. The platform has been documented to save more than 900 hours of SOC analysis per month at enterprise companies. Hoxhunt analyses reported emails using models trained on 10 years of employee-reported phishing data from more than five million human sensors. The platform classifies malicious emails with 96% accuracy.

Hoxhunt launches AI-powered Security Awareness Training for employees. Sep 15, 2026, 09:00 ET Expanded automation, 300+ lessons, 40+ languages, and policy-to-lesson AI help awareness teams deliver relevant training with less manual work MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Hoxhunt, the Human Risk Management platform, today announced a major expansion of Hoxhunt Security Awareness Training (SAT). The upgraded suite gives security teams fresh, company-specific content generated in seconds, broader topic coverage, faster localization, automated administration and interactive AI voice training. Security awareness leaders have traditionally had to accept generic content that employees tune out, or spend hours creating lessons for company policies, industry risks and local languages. The new AI-powered SAT removes that tradeoff. It combines Hoxhunt's adaptive technology and extensive content library with greater administrative control, allowing organizations to deliver timely, relevant training at global scale without creating more work for already stretched security teams. What Hoxhunt expanded SAT delivers * AI-automated customization: Content Studio turns internal policies and existing materials into editable, on-brand lessons in under five minutes, ready for admin review. Administrators retain control over editing, audience selection and publishing. * Fresh, expanded training coverage: More than 300+ video and text modules address security fundamentals, emerging threats and compliance requirements including PCI DSS, HIPAA, DORA and GDPR. Interactive exercises and quiz formats provide additional variety. * Locally relevant content: AI-powered translation with admin review supports more than 40 languages, reducing the manual work and cultural mismatch created by English-only, US-centric training. * Automated program management: Enrollment, reminders, manager escalations and completion tracking can be automated, while training can be tailored by role, department, location and risk. "Most security teams don't need another warehouse of generic content. They need an endless supply of relevant training without an endless workload," said Mika Aalto, co-founder and CEO of Hoxhunt. "Hoxhunt was built to adapt to people long before AI was cool. The new AI-powered SAT puts that foundation to work across the full awareness program - creating fresh content, localizing it, automating delivery and giving employees realistic practice for social engineering beyond email." Five major companies won prestigious CSO50 awards in 2026 for Security Awareness Training and Human Risk Management programs powered by the latest Hoxhunt capabilities. About Hoxhunt Hoxhunt is a Human Risk Management platform that helps security leaders and employees join forces to prevent data breaches. Hoxhunt combines AI and behavioral science to consolidate signal data, take timely actions on risky activities, and gamify individualized micro-training experiences that people love. Hoxhunt launches free 2026 Cybersecurity Awareness Month Toolkit with Caitlin "Cyber Girl" Sarian. Aug 20, 2026, 09:00 ET "Cybersecurity is a team sport" campaign-in-a-box gives awareness leaders four weeks of ready-to-use content built for today's threats MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Hoxhunt, the human risk management platform, today launched its free 2026 Cybersecurity Awareness Month Toolkit, a ready-to-run campaign designed to help security awareness leaders deliver an engaging, relevant and measurable October program without adding to their workload or budget. Built around the theme "Cybersecurity is a team sport," the toolkit turns current threat intelligence into a coordinated four-week campaign that organizations can adapt to their culture, platforms and schedule. It is available free to security awareness professionals here. "October is the World Cup for security awareness teams, but too often they're expected to deliver a great campaign without extra people or budget," said Mika Aalto, co-founder and CEO of Hoxhunt. "We made this toolkit as a gift to the community - practical content that gets the whole organization practicing together. Cybersecurity is a team sport, and the strongest teams build good instincts before the pressure is on." The campaign follows a simple training arc inspired by team sports: * Week 1 - Warm Up: Build Your Security Foundations * Week 2 - Agility Training: Train Your Security Reflexes * Week 3 - Strength Training: Face the Heavyweights * Week 4 - Game Day: Make the Right Play Each week includes editable communications for email, Slack, Microsoft Teams and intranet platforms, along with portrait and landscape infographics, short educational videos and interactive challenges. The materials address timely risks including AI-enabled deception, deepfakes, spear phishing and social engineering beyond email. Ready-to-use challenges include no-setup mini-games that do not require a Hoxhunt account, as well as facilitator-led activities that teams can run themselves. The 2026 campaign features Caitlin "Cyber Girl" Sarian, a cybersecurity educator and content creator, in a motivational video encouraging employees to treat security like any other team discipline: learn the fundamentals, practice together and make the right play when it matters. Security awareness expert Anthony Davis also appears in the toolkit's educational video series. "As a former competitive athlete, I know you don't win by reading the playbook. You win by putting in the reps," said Sarian. "I'm teaming up with Hoxhunt because this free toolkit is built on one rule: cybersecurity is a team sport." The toolkit is designed as a flexible menu rather than a rigid curriculum. Awareness leaders can deploy the full four-week program or select the assets that best support their existing campaign. The toolkit draws on real threats reported by Hoxhunt users worldwide. That same data feeds the Hoxhunt platform and shapes the company's annual Phishing Trends Report.
