Requirements
  • 3+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably within a SaaS company or technical agency.
  • Expertise in the LA tech market.
  • Proven track record in sourcing “Full-Stack Engineering” candidates with modern web and cloud technologies such as JavaScript (React, Node.js), AWS, MySQL, and React Native.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, languages, and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers alike.
  • Experience using Greenhouse.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for tech and the ability to engage with technical professionals on an in-depth level.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and adapt to change.
  • Located in Los Angeles and able to work hybrid 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
  • Leverage various sourcing methods (LinkedIn, networking events, job boards) to identify and engage top candidates with expertise in JavaScript frameworks (React, Node.js), AWS, MySQL, and React Native. As well as Data Engineering (Python/SQL), QA/Automation and Mobile.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to evaluate technical skills, cultural fit, and overall alignment with BuildOps' mission and values.
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to understand specific technical requirements, create job descriptions, and provide regular updates on the hiring pipeline.
  • Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline, fostering relationships with candidates and providing an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Stay current on hiring trends, talent in the Los Angeles market, and emerging skills within the software and tech ecosystem, particularly for modern frameworks and cloud technologies.
  • Partner with HR to extend offers, negotiate terms, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
