Requirements
  • A Ph.D. in anatomy or a related discipline is required; related disciplines may include geological sciences when the research focus is evolutionary or paleobiological.
  • The Ph.D. must be defended before the position start date.
Responsibilities
  • Team teach clinical anatomy to NYITCOM medical students and graduate courses in the Integrative Anatomy PhD program.
  • Mentor graduate and professional students in research, including master’s and DO/PhD students.
  • Develop and maintain an independent, productive research program.
  • Actively pursue extramural funding to support research activities and graduate student training.
  • Participate in service to the Department of Anatomy, the College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York Institute of Technology, and the broader scientific and professional community.
Desired Qualifications
  • Substantial teaching experience.
  • A record of extramural research funding.
  • Research expertise that complements the existing strengths of the Department of Anatomy.
  • Previous teaching experience in anatomy, neuroanatomy, or embryology.
