The Team:
We’re looking for talented Senior / Brand Designer to join our Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Creative & Marketing Production, this position is based in our Los Angeles, CA office. Regardless of location you must be comfortable working cross functionally with distributed teams.
As our first in-house Designer, you will play a key role in creating fresh, unique and thoughtful designs across a wide range of touchpoints to support our growing needs. This is a cross-functional position for someone comfortable collaborating with multiple teams, including our executive team. The Role:
- Produce high-value, diverse, and visually appealing documents and concepts across a range of marketing initiatives including, print collateral, landing pages, digital ad campaigns, creative, social media, email, presentation decks, video, events and more.
- Create stunning digital designs that captivate and engage our target audience, leveraging your aesthetics and expertise to tell compelling narratives through visuals.
- Build and implement design and content needs for a variety of branded marketing content including social-first campaigns, performance marketing, newsletters, sales decks, executive decks, white papers, and partnerships collateral.
- Coordinate, create, and execute multiple design projects from concept through delivery.
- Create a cohesive Luminate brand across all marketing touchpoints with the utmost attention to craft and detail. This includes illustrative, typographic and design compositional craft, and motion graphics.
- Use your expertise in visual storytelling to create narratives that resonate with our target audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with marketing, product, and development teams to ensure that the brand’s visual identity is consistent and impactful across all customer touch points and contributes to overall brand + product experience.
- Provide guidance to evolve the overall brand design system and visual language as scale.
- Collaborate with our Product team’s Director, UX/UI on aesthetic to ensure brand consistency
- Proactively help shape our processes and approach to design while fostering a culture of collaboration, feedback, and openness while partnering with various teams to bring great work to life.
- Drive the development and evolution of our brand identity, ensuring consistency and alignment across all touchpoints, including marketing materials, websites, customer funnel experience, etc.
Who you are:
- 4+ years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital design, typography, and layout with a focus on visual storytelling
- Proven experience creating successful brand campaigns or agency work with compelling visual storytelling.
- Deep proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma with a strong understanding of its advanced features and collaboration capabilities
- Advanced skills in Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as needed
- Comfortable creating data visualizations or data oriented content
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders including executives and our CEO.
- Passionate about end-to-end customer experience holistic of brand and product
- Independent, and self-motivated with the ability to own and meet project deadlines across multiple projects at once
- Excellent time management, organization skills, file management / organization
- Must be able to work autonomously and remain flexible to changing priorities
- We would be over the moon if you have experience or skills specifically in
- Experience in tech, B2B, or entertainment companies
- Prior experience working for a data platform or data first organization
- Animation skills in After Effects or a similar platform
- Background in experiential and event product design
- Think abstractly, transfer complicated ideas to visuals to support Luminate products.

For candidates based in California: Our base salary range for this position is $78,000 - $98,000. We consider your skills and experience, what similar jobs pay at companies of our size, and ensure fair pay among colleagues. Final base salary offer amounts are determined by factors including your experience and expertise. In addition we are proud to offer additional perks and benefits that contribute and complete our total compensation package. Luminate reserves the right to change our compensation bands at any time.
