About the job

Requirements
  • Personally decomposed a commercial performance problem, isolated and quantified its drivers, and reached a conclusion the organization had not yet seen.
  • Distinguishes correlation from causation and can identify what the data does not support.
  • Has run an annual planning cycle end to end or held responsibility for budget consolidation and trade-offs in partnership with Finance.
  • Has accountability for outcomes outside their home market, ideally with international work experience.
  • Has built or rebuilt a team.
  • Has a background in brand or business performance, commercial planning, revenue management, strategy with a strong quantitative core, or finance within a complex multi-brand environment.
  • Can establish credibility with senior stakeholders and communicate when a plan is not viable.
  • Can influence without direct authority in highly cross-functional roles.
  • Can operate in a fast-moving, decentralized, and developing environment.
  • Perfect English is mandatory.
Responsibilities
  • Decompose performance movements and explain their drivers, including RevPAR and RevPAR index versus the competitive set, occupancy and ADR, channel and segment mix, like-for-like versus ramp-up and renovation effects, and brand, market, and asset contributions.
  • Provide structured analysis, quantified scenarios, and ranked recommendations; challenge assumptions, priorities, trade-offs, and metric construction when it drives the conclusion; and support assessment of strategic initiatives and investments.
  • Own and orchestrate brand performance and planning cycles, including Strategic Marketing Plans, Quarterly Business Reviews, multi-year brand plans, and budget cycles.
  • Define and maintain common KPIs, definitions, templates, and standards to ensure reconciled figures and comparable performance; consolidate a portfolio-level view and maintain performance discipline with regions.
  • Orchestrate budgeting across individual brand budgets, the consolidated portfolio budget, and regional execution budgets in partnership with Finance.
  • Build the portfolio-level vision and narrative for the Executive Committee and Board, translate strategies and roadmaps into quantified financial impact, and support trade-off discussions with evidence and options without owning budget execution.
  • Lead the portfolio-level consumer insights capability through a dedicated Consumer Insights Lead; define the insight agenda, uphold methodological rigor, connect insights to brand positioning, performance drivers, and commercial outcomes, and evolve the capability using AI-enabled approaches.
  • Lead portfolio-level initiatives to improve decision quality, including brand and consumer knowledge management, performance tools, insight platforms, and best-practice sharing, and drive their adoption without duplicating other teams' execution.
  • Build, lead, and develop a small Brand Performance & Consumer Insights team; recruit and develop a number two with strong quantitative and financial capability; set priorities, ways of working, and analytical standards; and represent the function in senior governance forums.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hospitality experience is welcome but not required.
  • Consumer insights experience is valuable but is not sufficient on its own for this role.

Hilton, Radisson, and Accor plan 10+ Morocco hotels as tourism surges 20%

Morocco is experiencing an unprecedented tourism boom, with nearly 20 million international tourists visiting in 2026, marking a 20% year-on-year increase. Major destinations like Marrakesh have seen overnight stays surge by nearly 40%. Major hotel chains are capitalising on this growth with significant expansion plans. Hilton has opened a 55-room Waldorf Astoria in Rabat's Mohammed VI Tower and plans six new properties across Morocco by 2030, including Tapestry Collection hotels in Casablanca and Chefchaouen, plus DoubleTree and Curio Collection properties in Marrakech and Nador. Accor is developing a Sofitel Tangier for 2029 and partnering with local group Risma on a tourism academy. Radisson is constructing Radisson Blu and Radisson RED properties in Casablanca for 2028. Morocco's strategic location has also attracted cruise lines rerouting from the Middle East.
