Requirements
  • A Medical Degree is required.
  • Completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency is required.
  • Completion of a Body Imaging Fellowship is required.
  • Applicants must be certified or board eligible by the American Board of Radiology.
  • Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Florida medical license.
  • Competitive applicants must have completed at least one year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology.
  • Applicants must be able to interpret X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound examinations and perform non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain an active clinical practice in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participate in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
  • Provide clinical imaging services by interpreting X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound examinations and performing non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conferences.
  • Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
  • Participate in the on-call radiology schedule.
  • Exercise quality assurance related to general radiology and abdominal imaging practice.
  • Provide abdominal imaging consultation as requested.
  • Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to abdominal radiology practice.
  • Participate in teaching activities related to general radiology in diagnostic radiology and integrated diagnostic radiology/interventional radiology residency programs, the abdominal imaging fellowship program, medical student education, radiologic technologist educational programs, and continuing medical education programs.
  • Serve on departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
  • Participate in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and attend and actively participate in seminars and other educational lectures.
  • Supervise medical students, residents, and fellows involved in direct patient care.
  • Attend meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.
  • Provide weekend and holiday coverage for imaging studies at Jackson Memorial Hospital and UHealth facilities, including after-hours availability during assigned call weeks.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a university faculty setting is preferred but not required.
