OVERVIEW

We’re seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Professional Services (ProServ) Engineering team. In this role, you will work to help our customers integrate with our platform, while also contributing to the development of new features and product improvements. 

The ProServ team assists our largest enterprise customers as they work to migrate legacy payment and reconciliation processes onto Modern Treasury.  These engagements are complex and multi-faceted, requiring engineers to interact directly with customers to understand their requirements while taking internal and external constraints into consideration.  The work is varied: you may take a customer call, write code for a platform feature, design a data ingestion system or follow up with partners - sometimes all in one day!

At the heart of our platform lies our cutting-edge Payments product, enabling businesses to seamlessly move money across the banking ecosystem. Our Reconciliation product empowers businesses to reconcile financial transactions in near real-time, while our Ledgers product provides a high-throughput database for tracking of financial activities. Together, our platform orchestrates billions of dollars in money movement. 

Our API is often the most critical piece of infrastructure that our customers use. We place a premium on building robust, scalable systems that can sustain a high volume of API calls and exceed the reliability requirements to move money at scale. We complement this with well-thought out interfaces for our users and pride in writing quality API docs.

WEEK BY WEEK

During your first week you will:

During your first six weeks you will:

• Ship your first major project

• Write your first blog post. We love writing at Modern Treasury (and have been on the front page of Hacker News multiple times with posts like "What Happens When You ACH a Dead Person?" and "How to Build an Insurance Company")

• Shadow a few customer and partner meetings every week
  

During your first six months you will:

• Work with our product team to scope and ship products for both our engineering and finance users

• Help grow our team by mentoring new engineers, writing internal tooling and documentation, and interviewing new hires
  

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Experience building web applications professionally for 5+ years

• Experience working with SQL/Relational databases
