Requirements
- At least six months of hospital experience or experience in security, safety, fire, police, military police, ambulance/emergency medical technician, or a similar occupation; one year of college may be substituted.
- Demonstrate complete knowledge and application of security, safety, or law-enforcement techniques and procedures.
- Possess public-relations and customer-service skills, along with written and oral communication skills.
- Possess Management of Aggressive Behavior certification or successfully complete the certification course within three months of employment.
- Successfully complete the Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification course offered by the organization upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Conduct activities that provide a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors, and employees.
- Interface with visitors, staff, physicians, patients, and family members.
