Requirements
  • Ability to work efficiently within enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build credibility, forge trust, and lead or influence other leaders across the organization without direct authority.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with all levels of the organization, from production floor associates to senior corporate executives.
  • Ability to help teams approach challenges differently and implement optimized production paradigms.
Responsibilities
  • Direct the daily work of assembly teams spanning several operational areas to accommodate manufacturing needs.
  • Own program management for a key product line and manage the assembly process from start to finish.
  • Supervise overall production by collaborating daily with customer service, production control, and paint shop management.
  • Oversee ultimate product quality, design and develop assembly operations for new production lines, and improve existing processes for efficiency.
  • Review forecasts for upcoming production needs, run open order reports, assign tasks, and ensure team members continuously cross-train.
  • Analyze area performance results to drive continuous improvement activities that meet or exceed safety, productivity, quality, and uptime goals.
  • Conduct Associate performance reviews, identify skills gaps, create individual development plans, and manage team time and attendance according to company policy.
  • Attend daily production meetings to report project status, review order fulfillment, and address downtime or quality issues.
  • Perform daily 5S audits to maintain an optimal and safe floor.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree, ideally in an engineering or technical discipline, is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience is preferred.
  • Practical experience with Lean methodologies such as 5S, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and Value Stream Mapping is preferred.
