- At least 2 years of hands-on experience administering Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.
- Strong experience in Oracle database installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, patching, cloning, refreshes, and decommissioning activities.
- Proven expertise in Oracle Real Application Clusters and Automatic Storage Management administration, including cluster management, instance and service administration, disk group management, rebalancing, and troubleshooting.
- Administer Oracle databases across production and non-production environments, including Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, 19c, 21c, and 23ai.
- Perform Oracle database installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, patching, cloning, refreshes, and decommissioning activities.
- Administer Oracle Real Application Clusters and Automatic Storage Management, including cluster management, instance and service administration, disk group management, rebalancing, and troubleshooting.
- Configure and monitor Oracle Data Guard, perform switchovers and failovers, maintain standby synchronization, and conduct disaster recovery testing.
- Perform performance tuning and diagnostics using Automatic Workload Repository, Active Session History, Automatic Database Diagnostic Monitor, SQL Trace, Explain Plans, wait-event analysis, optimizer statistics, and System Global Area/Program Global Area tuning.
- Perform Recovery Manager backup and recovery, including restores, point-in-time recovery, duplication, cloning, and disaster recovery validation exercises.
- Use enterprise backup solutions such as Commvault.
- Administer Oracle GoldenGate, including Extract, Data Pump, Replicat, trail file management, replication monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Perform database upgrades and migrations using AutoUpgrade, Database Upgrade Assistant, Data Pump, OPatch, and OPatchAuto.
- Troubleshoot critical Oracle database issues, including ORA-00600, ORA-04031, ORA-01555, ORA-00257, ORA-01652, ORA-07445, startup failures, and recovery scenarios.
- Administer Oracle database security, including Transparent Data Encryption, wallets, auditing, roles, privileges, password policies, and least-privilege access management.
- Use Shell or KornShell scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL for automation, monitoring, reporting, health checks, and backup validation.
- Monitor databases, proactively identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and manage incidents.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, application, storage, and network teams.
- Participate in 24x7 production support and on-call rotations.
