Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in finance or accounting roles at venture-capital-funded startups or SaaS companies.
- Demonstrated experience managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and negotiating with vendors.
- A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field, such as B.Com or BBA Finance.
- CA qualification or CMA/CFA certification is mandatory.
- Experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and complex formulas for reporting and analysis.
- Familiarity with annual recurring revenue, monthly recurring revenue, churn rates, and subscription business models.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends and opportunities.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of equity structures and cap table management.
- Ownership of processes from setup through execution.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to deliver accurate work within tight timelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication for investor and vendor interactions.
- Ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfort presenting financial reports to leadership and investors.

Responsibilities
- Lead profit and loss analysis and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions and growth.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to support strategic initiatives.
- Create financial dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Partner with leadership on financial planning for scaling, fundraising, and strategic investments.
- Manage relationships with external accounting firms, legal advisors, and regulatory experts.
- Ensure regulatory compliance while supporting business efficiency and growth.
- Coordinate with external experts to support business objectives and operational excellence.
- Prepare financial narratives and reports that communicate company growth and potential to investors.
- Support board meetings with strategic financial insights and performance analysis.
- Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy and investor communications.
- Drive customer payment strategies and collection processes to maximize cash flow and minimize days sales outstanding.
- Analyze revenue trends and provide insights to sales and leadership teams for decision-making.
- Work with sales and customer success to optimize billing processes and customers' financial experience.
- Manage vendor expenses and payment optimization to improve margins and cash flow.
- Build relationships with key suppliers and negotiate agreements.
- Coordinate expense planning and approval processes to support business growth initiatives.
- Facilitate financial onboarding for new talent.
- Support HR and leadership with employee financial processes and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to employee experiences through efficient financial processes.
