Requirements
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn in-house inventory systems and general computer skills for data entry, reports, and internal communications.
  • Completion of the basic quality control training program and ongoing follow-up training.
  • Completion of the quality testing program with the specified test score for the position.
  • Completion of 3–5 training classes pertaining to the job classification within 90 days.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all finished goods meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and shipping requirements.
  • Help production supervisors direct shift activities regarding quality and employee training on quality control requirements, standards, procedures, and recognition of material that should be scrapped versus regrinded.
  • Follow quality control methods so employees can identify products for rejection and rework, and ensure customers receive products that meet or exceed their standards.
  • Communicate quality issues to support staff to enable quick resolution.
  • Perform visual and dimensional quality checks of products to ensure containers meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Help ensure Good Manufacturing Practices, AIB, and/or Safe Quality Food regulations are followed during the shift.
  • Perform routine inspections and audits of finished goods produced during the shift.
  • Monitor raw material defects and prepare defect reports to support continuous improvement of supplied raw materials.
  • Assist the shift supervisor with training and oversight of bottle inspectors on proper bottle inspection and packing methods.
