About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of professional frontend engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with React and TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with one or more backend-focused programming languages, such as Golang, Java, C++, Python, or Rust.
  • Familiarity with data storage and processing systems in cloud environments.
  • Experience building with AI tools, including general-purpose large language models such as Claude and ChatGPT, for coding, design, collaboration, and knowledge documentation.
  • Experience building or contributing to products that let users use AI to change how the product looks or behaves.
  • A tinkering mindset, with enthusiasm for experimentation and open-ended research spikes rather than only prescriptive specification work.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and non-technical internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Build visual components, the AI interaction interface, and supporting code that allow an AI agent to assemble and adapt factory-floor UI so users can self-serve changes to the product's appearance and behavior.
  • Drive product delivery by implementing new features and prototypes using suitable tools, usually building on React single-page applications and the GraphQL and Golang APIs that support them.
  • Work with Product, Design, and Data Science to understand user problems and identify solutions.
  • Participate in unstructured hackathons and research spikes to test new ideas and technologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required.

About the company

Oden Technologies provides a data analytics platform that monitors and optimizes manufacturing processes in real-time using industrial IoT and machine learning. The system works by collecting and cleaning factory data to create a single source of truth, which is then used to provide machine operators with specific, live recommendations for adjusting settings to improve quality and speed. Unlike competitors that only offer data visualization, this platform provides prescriptive guidance that helps even inexperienced workers perform like experts immediately. The company's goal is to help manufacturers eliminate waste and increase production efficiency by turning complex industrial data into clear, actionable instructions.

What believers are saying

  • August 2026 AssetWatch partnership expands Oden into predictive-maintenance budgets and joint selling.
  • 2026 hiring spans engineering, sales, and customer success, showing active go-to-market expansion.
  • Oden.io still emphasizes Action First AI, matching manufacturers' push for operator productivity gains.

What critics are saying

  • Oden had only 44 employees in March 2026, limiting enterprise support capacity.
  • Recruiting contractor posting said 35-person company in May 2026, signaling fragile scale.
  • A competitor bundling MES, analytics, and maintenance can commoditize Oden's point solution.

What makes Oden Technologies unique

  • Oden's 2024 Series B from Nordstjernan Growth and Atomico funded product depth.
  • Process AI turns operator data into real-time recommendations on the plant floor.
  • 2026 AssetWatch partnership links production intelligence with asset health, strengthening workflow integration.

AssetWatch & Oden Technologies partner to help manufacturers connect asset health with real-time production intelligence.

AssetWatch & Oden Technologies partner to help manufacturers connect asset health with real-time production intelligence. New partnership unites AI-driven condition monitoring with real-time production intelligence, helping manufacturers maximize output without harming asset health AssetWatch protects the machine, Oden optimizes each run." - Carlos Barberena, VP of Partnerships at AssetWatch COLUMBUS, OH, UNITED STATES, August 26, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - AssetWatch, Inc., a leading provider of AI-powered condition monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions, today announced a partnership with Oden Technologies, a real-time production intelligence and AI platform helping manufacturers monitor, analyze, and optimize production performance. Together, the two companies will help manufacturers connect asset health insights with complete production and process data, giving maintenance, reliability, and operations teams a more complete picture of how equipment is running and when action should be taken. Most manufacturers still rely on calendar-based preventive maintenance schedules; triggering work every few weeks or months regardless of actual machine usage. This creates unnecessary maintenance on lightly used equipment, missed risks on heavily used assets, and limited visibility into the relationship between production activity and equipment health. AssetWatch addresses the condition side of the equation through AI-powered monitoring, vibration and oil analysis, and expert-validated recommendations from certified condition monitoring professionals. Oden models process dynamics across the complete production line including real-time visibility into variability, quality, availability, throughput, and run hours. Together, the platforms give teams the context to make maintenance and production decisions based on real machine conditions and production performance, not just the calendar. Every manufacturer with AssetWatch and Oden can natively integrate the two systems to allow for seamless collaboration and expedited root cause analysis between AssetWatch Condition Monitoring Engineers (CME) and maintenance and reliability teams. "Manufacturers are looking for smarter ways to protect production without adding complexity," said Carlos Barberena, VP of Partnerships at AssetWatch. "AssetWatch helps teams understand asset health and act before failures occur. Oden adds the operational layer, showing how equipment is being used and how well the line is performing. Together, we help customers make maintenance and operating decisions based on real machine condition and production context." "Maintenance should be tied directly to machine performance, that's how you maximize output and minimize cost," said Willem Sundblad, CEO of Oden Technologies. "With AssetWatch, we can bring asset health and production intelligence into a single picture so operations and maintenance teams can act together in real-time instead of trading off against each other after the fact." The partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward connected maintenance ecosystems where production data, condition monitoring, and maintenance execution work together rather than remain siloed. The result is a stronger foundation for predictive maintenance programs that reduce unnecessary PMs, prioritize critical assets, and scale across sites. If you're ready to learn more, AssetWatch and Oden Technologies will explore this connected approach in the upcoming webinar, "Beyond the OEE Number: Diagnosing Machine vs. Process to Unlock True Operational Gains," on October 15th. The session will examine how manufacturers can connect asset health and production data to distinguish machine failures from process inefficiencies, identify the true drivers of OEE loss, and focus the right teams on the right actions. Register for the webinar here. AssetWatch is an end-to-end condition monitoring solution helping manufacturers reduce unplanned downtime, lower maintenance costs, and improve asset reliability. The company combines wireless sensors, oil analysis, a dedicated communication network, AI-powered software, and certified condition monitoring experts to deliver actionable insights that help teams identify and prioritize developing equipment issues before they become costly failures.
