About the job
- Former classroom teacher or classroom experience.
- Strong technology skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, especially with Chromebooks and iPads.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
- Able to commit to on-site work at one or more schools in the Nashville area during school hours.
- Access to a car, maintained driver's insurance, and the ability to travel independently to school sites for agreed projects.
- Support students in logging into the Tutored by Teachers platform.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during platform setup or use.
- Provide on-the-ground support to students and teachers to ensure smooth implementation of the program.
- Collaborate with school staff to address technology or classroom management issues.
- Communicate regularly with Tutored by Teachers Engagement Managers to provide updates on how engagements are running.
- Ensure that classroom technology, including laptops and tablets, is functional and ready for use.

WASHINGTON, May 25, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- National education nonprofit Accelerate today announced it will award $6 million in grants to 32 organizations working to make high-impact tutoring a sustainable and cost-effective feature of the American school day. The grants come from Accelerate's Call to Effective Action program, which supports innovation, research, and implementation in the tutoring field in order to help expand access to high-impact tutoring and raise student achievement. Grantees are working in 20 states across the country. "The evidence behind tutoring as an intervention is strong and the field is making tremendous progress, but we still need more providers with a proven track record that can also scale," said Accelerate CEO Kevin Huffman. "Before the federal pandemic relief dollars dry up, we have an opportunity – and a responsibility – to identify these providers and ensure they are able to deliver cost-effective programs and present evidence that they get results for kids."
