Requirements
  • Must be Orton-Gillingham Certified.
  • At least a Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Ability to make learning fun and interactive, with the focus of tutoring often determined by student questions and comments.
  • Ability to pass a background check if required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or group instruction to students in the Corona area of California.
  • Tutor students five days a week for two hours on weekdays, beginning at 2:30 or 3:30 p.m.
  • Focus tutoring primarily on reading.
  • Work with students who require special education support, accommodations, or assistance with learning disabilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with special education, accommodations, and working with students with learning disabilities is highly preferred.
