Requirements
  • A relevant university degree or comparable level in a relevant discipline, such as agriculture, horticulture, food technology, aquaculture, apiculture, or animal husbandry relevant to the certification scope.
  • Up to one year of relevant industry experience.
  • Relevant training on organic standards.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the optimal day-to-day operations of the certification division.
  • Review new scheme requirements and update audit guidelines accordingly, keeping inspectors informed of changes.
  • Ensure that the most current version of the checklist is used at all audits.
  • Complete all relevant internal training, authorisations, and any external training or examinations required by the applicable scheme.
  • Maintain the certification database and manage filing systems in an organised and up-to-date manner.
  • Handle client communications in a professional and timely manner.
  • Carry out Tracenet and Traces operations for the European Union.
  • Issue Transaction Certificates and certificates under other applicable standards.
  • Maintain and operate traceability systems, including the internal Transaction Certificate system.
  • Initiate and arrange sampling of commodities as required.
  • Ensure certification records are accurate and current.
  • Carry out other related tasks assigned by management.
