Podium helps local businesses communicate with customers and grow their business by providing a multi-channel platform that combines reviews, text messaging, and payment processing into one inbox. How it works: businesses connect their channels (online reviews, texts, payments) to Podium, then use the inbox to respond to customers, manage leads, engage via text conversations, and process transactions. The product is offered on a subscription basis with tiered plans for different sizes of small and medium-sized businesses. Podium differentiates itself by focusing specifically on local SMBs across industries (retail, automotive, healthcare) and offering an integrated solution for reputation management, customer engagement, and payments in one place, instead of relying on separate tools. The company’s goal is to help local businesses compete effectively in a digital-first world by improving communication, streamlining operations, and enhancing online presence.

Podium has launched what it calls the industry's first AI operating system for home services contractors. The platform, live since early 2026, uses AI agents to handle field service management, communications, and membership programmes. The system includes Larry, an AI agent that answers calls and books appointments, an AI Membership Coordinator that manages membership programmes and schedules, and Operator, which handles back-office tasks across jobs and invoices. Hundreds of contractors have migrated from legacy field service management software. Air Design Heating and Cooling reportedly generated $35,000 in revenue from 600 maintenance members without making outreach calls. Magnolia Plumbing cut invoice-to-payment time in half and freed up 60 hours monthly. The platform is available for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and garage door contractors in the US and Canada.
Podium launches industry's first AI Operating System for Home Services. LEHI, Utah, Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Podium, a leader in AI for local businesses, today formally announced its AI Operating System for Home Services. The platform puts AI agents to work across field service management, communications, and membership tools, each built to run the operation the way owners choose. It has been live since early 2026 and hundreds of contractors have already made the move from their legacy FSM, seeing results across every part of their business. Home services businesses have run on the same disconnected field service management software for years. Other platforms are responding by adding AI on top or bringing in outside vendors. The result is more tools, more fragmentation, and AI that only starts the work. Podium built the AI agents first, then built the entire platform underneath them so the work actually gets done. "I started Podium in 2014 and in 12 years I have never met a contractor who loves their FSM. They use it because they have to. When you build the system around agents instead of workflows, the business runs differently. The agents go do the work. For the first time, the software does the work instead of just holding the data," said Eric Rea, CEO of Podium. AI agents that work across your entire business Each one learns your business and takes it from there. * Larry answers every call and books the job. He qualifies the lead, checks availability, and puts a confirmed appointment on the dispatch board without anyone on the team following up. * The AI Membership Coordinator runs your membership program. The agent works through the membership list, books seasonal visits onto the calendar, and keeps the schedule full without anyone making a single outreach call. * Operator is the AI business manager running the back half of the operation. Give Operator a task anywhere in the business and it works across jobs, invoices, and schedules until the work is done. Results from contractors using a full AI Operating System * Air Design Heating and Cooling worked through 600 maintenance members, saw a 40% booking rate, and collected $35K in revenue without a single outreach call * Magnolia Plumbing cut invoice-to-payment time in half and freed up 60 hours of admin time per month * Mountain Valley Home Comfort migrated 20,000 customers and 5,000 maintenance agreements from their previous FSM and now runs daily reporting through Operator * Carlsbad Heating and Cooling consolidated four platforms into one and now has every call covered after hours without adding staff "You can't run your business and man the phones all weekend. We tried that and it overran our life. Podium gave us our life and our time back," said Amy Miles, Office Manager, Carlsbad Heating and Cooling. Availability Podium's AI Operating System for Home Services is available now for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and garage door contractors in the United States and Canada. Contractors migrating from legacy FSM platforms are live in weeks, not months, with a dedicated onboarding team and migration partner from day one. ServiceTitan Podium integration ending: what contractors need to know. ServiceTitan is ending its Podium integration on September 15. Here's what happened, why, what breaks, and what to do next. August 25, 2026 Quick answer. tl;dr: ServiceTitan is ending its Podium integration on September 15, 2026. ServiceTitan says Podium's old agreement no longer meets its new marketplace standards. Podium says ServiceTitan changed the partnership terms after Podium built a competing AI product. If you run both tools together, plan on losing synced customer records, automatic texts, and review requests between the two systems starting that date. I've had a few contractors ask me about this over the past week, so let's walk through it. Watch the video below for the full context, or keep reading for the practical breakdown. What happened between ServiceTitan and Podium. ServiceTitan and Podium have been partners for nine years. ServiceTitan runs the back office for a huge number of home service businesses: scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, and customer records. Podium started as a reviews and texting tool, then grew into the messaging layer many of those same businesses used on top of ServiceTitan. On August 12, ServiceTitan emailed customers announcing the integration would end on September 15. Podium was delisted from ServiceTitan's integration directory five days later, on August 17. Podium says it was blindsided after nine years of partnership. ServiceTitan says Podium chose not to move forward with its new certification program. Both things can be true at once. Nine years of partnership ended with about a month's notice, and neither side disputes that part. Why is ServiceTitan ending the integration? Two things are happening at the same time. ServiceTitan rolled out a new certification program in June 2026. It asks partners to meet six standards: security, performance, predictability, data transparency, revenue share, and mutual benefit. Podium says the revenue-share piece was not part of the original deal. At the same time, Podium launched its own AI-powered operating system for home services, built around an AI agent that answers calls and books jobs. That puts Podium in direct competition with ServiceTitan's core product, not just its messaging layer. If you are weighing voice AI options, see what to check before adding a voice AI agent. Put those two facts together and the picture is simple. A partner turned into a competitor, and the platform stopped being willing to fund that competitor's growth through its own API. What actually breaks for contractors? If the integration goes dark on schedule, here is what stops working: * Customer records stop syncing between the two systems. * Automatic job-triggered texts, like on-my-way alerts and appointment confirmations, stop firing. * Review requests tied to job completion stop going out. * Conversation history inside ServiceTitan stops updating. What you generally keep: your phone number, your review profile, and your existing message history. Those live in your Podium account, not in the integration itself. The practical danger is letting the response gap sit open. Missed calls and slow replies cost jobs quickly, so this is a good time to set up AI-powered missed-call text-back whether you keep Podium, replace it, or use a stopgap. The real lesson here. This is not really about picking a side. It is what happens when two vendors' business relationship breaks down and the businesses in the middle do not get a vote. The risk is not unique to Podium and ServiceTitan. Any tool you depend on for lead response carries the same exposure. I wrote about the four AI lead-response workflows every home service business should run, and the point holds here too: the fewer of those workflows that depend on a single vendor relationship you do not control, the less exposed you are to a story like this one. If you are deciding whether text, voice, or both make sense for your business, SMS vs. AI answering service is a useful place to start. What to do if you're affected. If you run ServiceTitan and Podium together, take a few concrete steps: * Check your Podium contract. The integration ending does not cancel your annual agreement with Podium. * Ask ServiceTitan support which messaging and review partners are currently certified on its Marketplace. * Export your Podium message history and review data before September 15, just in case. * Decide whether you need a full replacement now or a stopgap to get through busy season first. Whatever you land on, do not let the gap sit open. A basic missed-call text-back or instant-response workflow is better than waiting for the perfect long-term replacement. Podium alternatives worth considering. The right replacement depends on what you used Podium for. If the biggest risk is slow lead response after the ServiceTitan connection goes away, LeadTruffle is one of the best alternatives for ServiceTitan users. LeadTruffle keeps ServiceTitan as your system of record while covering the front end of the lead conversation. It responds to missed calls, texts, website chats, Google LSA, and marketplace leads in seconds, qualifies the customer, and can book the job into ServiceTitan. That makes it a strong fit if you need to protect new lead response without rebuilding the CRM your team already uses. Here is how the options stack up: * LeadTruffle, the best fit for ServiceTitan users who need instant lead response, qualification, and booking across calls, forms, texts, Google LSA, and marketplace leads. It is especially useful if your concern is losing Podium's messaging layer and letting new jobs go cold. * Birdeye, for multi-location businesses that lean heavily on review management across many sites. * NiceJob, if review requests are all you need and you want something simpler. * Broadly, built specifically for home service texting, reviews, and light scheduling. * Weave, mostly built for healthcare practices, so it is usually overkill for a general contractor. If review requests are your only priority, NiceJob or Birdeye may be the better match. If you want ServiceTitan to keep receiving qualified, ready-to-book leads from every channel, LeadTruffle is the stronger replacement. Frequently asked questions. Podium has launched an AI Operating System for aesthetic practices, integrating electronic medical records, patient communications, marketing automation and lead management into a single platform. The system is powered by Avery, Podium's AI employee, which autonomously responds to leads in under two minutes, books appointments and manages patient journeys. The platform addresses inefficiencies in practices that typically use three or more disconnected systems, wasting approximately eight hours weekly. Avery has complete access to calendars, patient history, services, inventory and communications, enabling it to operate autonomously rather than serving as a passive tool. A recent study showed customers using Podium's AI agents experienced a 45% increase in lead conversion and 30% increase in annual revenue. The system is now available for aesthetic practices in the United States and Canada.
OpenAI case study validates Podium's AI impact as company launches Jerry 2.0 for automotive, HVAC, and medspa. Podium, the leading AI conversion and communications platform for local businesses, announced the launch of Jerry 2.0, a significant leap forward in AI for the industries it serves (which include automotive, home services, and aesthetics). This release coincides with a new OpenAI case study which details how Podium leverages GPT-5.1 to create AI agents that capture demand 24/7, schedule appointments, close jobs, and follow up with customers. The result: 30% revenue lift and 45% higher conversion for Podium's customers. Podium's agents are already influencing billions in revenue across 10,000+ rooftops and the company's AI revenue has grown 300% YOY. Podium's agents are top-performing off-the-shelf, but every business is different - and with Jerry 2.0, owners can fully customize their AI to communicate just like their best employee would.
