Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least two years of maintenance engineering experience is required, along with knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, welding, and boiler applications.
  • Experience with mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and reading repair manuals and schematics is required.
  • The role requires standing or moving through the plant, stooping, pulling, pushing, and working in cramped areas, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on plant machinery to ensure that equipment continues to run smoothly.
  • Complete morning start-up and evening shutdown of the boiler, air compressor, power, pumps, and valves.
  • Perform regular maintenance of lint traps, shaker screen barrels, oil levels, grease fittings, and water levels.
  • Complete general and basic repairs on machinery.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule and document the process.
  • Identify and report major repairs needed on machinery.
  • Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot industrial equipment, including washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems, and boilers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including welding, boiler chemical testing, chemistry adjustments, resolving safety concerns, and preparing maintenance records.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn steam boilers, electrical systems, pneumatics, schematics, maintenance, welding, and plumbing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment and varied mechanical and electrical systems.
