Requirements

  • The candidate must be able to perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
  • The candidate must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, occasionally ascend and descend step ladders and stairs, and regularly sit, stand, kneel, bend, and squat for extended periods.
  • The candidate must successfully pass color and vision examinations as required by the position and distinguish required auditory signals.
  • The candidate must be able to work in loud-noise conditions, on or around heavy or moving machinery, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
  • Promote compliance with the company safety program and local accident prevention efforts.
  • Assist in developing and implementing safety-related programs to meet or exceed company safety standards.
  • Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits, emphasizing hazard recognition, unsafe behaviors, and correction of potential third-party, asset-loss, and workers' compensation losses.
  • Assist in preparing and conducting safety meetings and training programs.
  • Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing job hazard analyses for each major phase of the work.
  • Assist in investigating, preparing, and maintaining records of third-party, asset-loss, and workers' compensation claims.
  • Follow up with the corporate insurance department regarding claims to ensure appropriate information is collected and claims are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Report safety violations to the immediate supervisor as required for continued employment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bilingual English and Spanish language ability is preferred but not required.
