Requirements
  • Working knowledge of the equipment used under supervision, or the ability to obtain the necessary knowledge and education.
  • Knowledge of safety hazards related to the work and the ability to safely and effectively use or operate job-related tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in plant operations or construction jobsite settings.
  • Ability to move throughout active construction and project site environments, including uneven terrain, mud, gravel, sand, and other varying surface conditions.
  • Ability to access ground-level, overhead, and restricted-access work areas and to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated work surfaces safely.
  • Ability to handle and operate hand tools, power tools, equipment, instruments, and assigned materials.
  • Ability to move, transport, position, push, pull, lift, or carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions involving heat, cold, rain, humidity, wind, noise, dust, and other weather or site-related conditions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, restricted-access areas, or elevated locations when required by project needs and applicable safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform work ranging from sedentary to heavy physical exertion depending on the assignment and operational needs.
  • Ability to read, interpret, apply, and communicate work instructions, plans, specifications, company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and apply measurement, estimation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain concentration, situational awareness, and attention to detail amid multiple activities, distractions, and changing priorities.

  • Supervise and coordinate operator activities to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and on time.
  • Produce high-quality work safely and productively.
  • Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards and specifications are met.
  • Assist workers with their duties and resolve problems.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations.
  • Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for the work.
  • Assist other craft workers as needed.
  • Communicate and collaborate with crew members, supervisors, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and others in field and office settings.
