Requirements
- Proficiency in playing at least one instrument in support of a gospel or contemporary style worship service.
- Ability to read sheet music and accompany a variety of worship styles.
- Two years of experience performing worship and music services for a Protestant church or chapel.
- Active membership or attendance at a Protestant church or chapel, with a letter of endorsement from the current pastor or chaplain.
- Ability to work effectively within the pluralistic atmosphere of the Air Force Chaplaincy.
Responsibilities
- Provide instrumental and accompaniment music for rehearsals and worship services, including congregational and choral selections.
- Coordinate with the Gospel Music Director and Gospel Service Chaplain to play selections appropriate for Sunday worship and special programs.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to play piano, drums, guitar, bass guitar, and/or other basic instruments.
- Familiarity with contemporary, gospel, and traditional worship styles.
