Responsibilities
  • Engagement Managers run projects day to day and lead teams through an efficient and effective problem-solving process from initial thought process through convergence on a solution.
  • Engagement Managers ensure that recommendations are correct, practical, sensible, relevant, and cohesive.
  • Engagement Managers provide strategic thought leadership and command the technical and operational details of execution.
  • Engagement Managers forge strong relationships and communicate with clients.
  • Engagement Managers may lead a due diligence process to support an investment decision.
  • Engagement Managers may lead a workstream to shape the design of integrated companies after an integration.
  • Engagement Managers manage a team of consultants and share insights and recommendations with senior clients.
  • Principals provide day-to-day leadership of complex client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process while teaming with Partners.
  • Principals ensure on-time delivery that meets or exceeds agreed-upon goals by leveraging firm best practices, their expertise, and the firm's technical competence.

Marsh beats Q1 estimates with $7.6B revenue, $3.29 EPS as organic growth hits 5%

Marsh reported Q1 revenue of $7.6 billion, up 7.6% year-over-year, beating the consensus estimate of $7.38 billion by 2.88%. Earnings per share came in at $3.29, compared to $3.06 in the prior-year quarter, surpassing the consensus estimate of $3.21 by 2.46%. Key metrics showed mixed performance against analyst expectations. Consolidated organic revenue growth of 5% exceeded the 3.5% estimate, whilst consulting organic growth of 5% topped the 4.4% forecast. However, Guy Carpenter's organic growth of 2% fell short of the 4.2% estimate. Geographically, Marsh's EMEA division generated $1.21 billion in revenue, up 14.1% year-over-year and beating estimates. Mercer consulting revenue reached $1.66 billion, an 11% increase that surpassed the $1.58 billion consensus.
