Requirements
  • At least one year of previous related experience is required.
  • Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and tools, including the ability to determine root causes and create alternative solutions.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use electronic calendaring software and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize customer communication practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize tools and techniques for maintaining excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments and register patients across the Jefferson Health System in accordance with established clinical and insurance requirements.
  • Use the electronic medical record to complete scheduling and registration, confirm appointments, verify demographic information and insurance benefit eligibility, answer inquiries, and resolve user issues according to established protocols.
  • Coordinate orders, referrals, and insurance requirements by obtaining or confirming patient information and following local payer coverage determinations.
  • Use central scheduling telephony software to handle assigned call volume or digital requests efficiently.
  • Maintain qualitative and quantitative individual and team performance targets.
  • Interact with coworkers, visitors, and other staff consistently with Jefferson's values.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
