Requirements
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate obtained within the previous five years.
  • Zero to one year of experience.
  • Directly related education in a research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures, and analysis methods.
  • Training in epidemiology, biostatistics and/or statistical genetics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze risk factors, genetic data, and other omics data from diverse cohorts, including the Multiethnic Cohort study, the RESPOND African American prostate cancer study, and large-scale genetics consortia such as NHGRI PAGE and PRIMED.
  • Examine cancer and non-cancer outcomes, including anthropometric traits, diabetes, and biomarkers such as lipids, glucose, insulin, and inflammatory markers.
  • Conduct studies focused on polygenic risk score development, rare variant analysis, and health disparities research.
  • Present research findings.
  • Write research publications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Training in epidemiology, biostatistics and/or statistical genetics.
  • Familiarity with common analytic tools for genetic association studies.
