We are looking for a Vice President of Sales Effectiveness to join our Go-To-Market (GTM) leadership team. This role will lead our enablement, content, and proposals teams. They are responsible for driving efficient and effective learning in our Field organization to enable our strategy and ensure our team is prepared to excel in their roles and capitalize on the market opportunity from their first day onwards. Our field teams include the full customer lifecycle from inside sales through customer success.

The Vice President, Sales Effectiveness will have the opportunity to reimagine our approach to enablement, content and proposals. This role is an ideal fit for someone with a background in sales who also has a track record of building immersive, experiential learning in a high-growth company. Responsibilities:
- Build productive executive relationships and gain alignment for the strategy and priorities in enablement, content and proposals
- Set the agenda for field enablement by working vertically and horizontally in the organization and establishing a process for prioritization. Drive onboarding and ongoing role-based development
- Develop a world-class approach to accelerating learning loops that helps us identify learnings and best practices and scale them quickly across the Field organization
- Bring a “learn by doing” mindset while developing a robust system for creating and syndicating content that gets the right content to the right person at the right time
- Advise GTM leadership on strategic direction and execution by deeply understanding patterns in field readiness and effectiveness
- Implement rigorous performance measurement and use to optimize the quantity and quality of the team’s work. Drive operational excellence staying lean and agile
- Design an effective communication architecture that optimizes the learning to time trade-off
- Lead the team effectively. Define and structure roles effectively, manage and coach the team, and provide ongoing coaching and leadership to drive performance
If you have some or all of the following please apply:
- Led enablement, sales effectiveness or field productivity for 4+ years with a high-performing Field team
- Managed people for 5+ years and experienced in recruiting top talent to their teams
- Worked previously in high-growth and high-performance settings. Preferably in SaaS
- Strategic sales enablement planning and implementation experience
- Experienced in defining personas, enabling sales plays, and enabling sales processes
- Knowledge of sales fundamentals, including but not limited to sales methodologies, prospecting skills, pitch, driving urgency, etc.
- Work across full employee lifecycle from onboarding to ongoing role-based development
- Track record delivering innovative and experiential learning
- Executive presence and ability to influence across the organization

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this role is $161,400 – $295,050.
If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is:
$184,400 – $295,050 : New York City
$171,950 – $275,150 : Nassau, Newburgh
$161,400– $258,250 : Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse
