Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED plus one or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNP Security, or CASP CE.
  • Three years of related experience, including a minimum of two years of relevant cybersecurity experience with compliance assessment and planning through the POA&M process.
  • A current Security+ certification or IAM/IAT equivalent-level certification.
  • At least two years of experience working with the Risk Management Framework, DAAPM/DAAG, NISPOM, JSIG, or equivalent security frameworks.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, and the selected applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to controlled unclassified information at the level appropriate to the project.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure information systems follow government and Texas Institute for Electronics regulations while meeting program demands and operating in an accredited state.
  • Assist with daily information technology governance, risk management, and compliance functions.
  • Provide oversight and compliance assurance for the daily administration of information security measures in compliance with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and other relevant system security requirements, including those under the Risk Management Framework.
  • Assist in ensuring that controlled unclassified information systems meet the Risk Management Framework goals required by the Texas Institute for Electronics and government clients.
  • Draft detailed compliance and self-inspection reports for upper-management review.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Auditor, Information Systems Security Officer, Information Systems Security Engineer, Security Architect, or Information Security Analyst.
  • More than four years of experience in cybersecurity positions within classified Department of Defense environments.
  • At least four years of experience working with Linux environments.
  • Experience with vulnerability and compliance scanning tools such as ACAS/Nessus, Retina, MBSA, and SCAP.
  • Experience implementing STIG/SRG compliance configurations.
