Senior SQL Server Developer
About the job
- At least 10 years of IT software development experience.
- At least 8 years of experience developing SQL Server databases.
- At least 4 years of experience building large-scale applications.
- Strong knowledge of database design principles.
- Understanding of SQL Server internals.
- Knowledge of Data Definition Language, Data Manipulation Language, stored procedures, and functions.
- Ability to develop and deploy SQL Server Integration Services packages.
- Experience with SQL Server 2005, 2008, and 2012, and Oracle 10g and 11i.
- Experience with Visio or another flow-charting tool.
- Knowledge of Common Language Runtime and consuming Common Language Runtime functions.
- Experience with performance tuning.
- Knowledge of developing data-driven .NET applications using C#, object-relational mappers, and ADO.NET.
- SQL Server administration experience.
- Experience with Team Foundation Server or Visual SourceSafe for source control.
- Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language, Rational Rose, and Agile methodologies.
- Good communication skills, ability to work as a team player, self-direction, and ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
- Develop SQL Server databases.
- Build and deploy SQL Server Integration Services packages.
- Develop data-driven .NET applications using C#, object-relational mappers, and ADO.NET.
- Administer SQL Server databases.
- Perform database performance tuning and work with data models, transactions, indexes, stored procedures, extract-transform-load processes, and Common Language Runtime functions.
- Energy experience, particularly retail energy experience.
- Experience with Siebel, Lodestar, or Tibco.
