Requirements
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • High School or GED required and must be graduate from an accredited EEG school
  • CPR required
Responsibilities
  • Performs EEG procedure in accordance with the American Society Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist and department policies.
  • Demonstrates a full knowledge of Electroneurodignostics and the usage of digital EEG equipment.
  • Completes daily scheduled tests in the appropriate time frame and to population specific group.
  • Includes Long term monitoring.
  • Ability to identify the patient appropriately and prepare the patient.
  • Explains the procedure.
  • Ability to navigate through an electronic medical record.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work assignments on a daily basis.
  • Ability to corroborate patient’s clinical history with procedure assuring appropriateness for the test requested.
  • Ability to provide the Neurologist with the appropriate information necessary for interpretation.
  • Ability to communicate to supervisor and/or Neurologists problems associated with patient or procedure.
  • Maintains equipment in a clean and functional manner on a daily basis.
  • Organizes and orders stock in EEG Lab.
  • Stocks machines on a daily basis.
  • Documents weekly/monthly maintenance cleaning in cleaning log book.
  • Ability to keep updated on equipment upgrades and recognizes/trouble shoots equipment failure.
  • Performs Smartskans.
  • Performs other duties within the cardiac services department as needed.
