Responsibilities
  • Work assigned promo shifts at off/on-premise locations and local events
  • Set-up tasting booths including cups, banners, swag, and ability to expense promotional product as necessary
  • Drive to local promotional events in surrounding areas and storage unit as needed
  • Maintain schedule, and submit required post event reports and information as required by your FMS
  • Be an outgoing, excited, and professional representative of BeatBox at all events
  • Communicate and work with other members of the team to ensure customer satisfaction, drive brand awareness, and drive product purchase

Anheuser-Busch's $490M BeatBox acquisition precedes 158 layoffs at Austin parent company

Future Proof Brands, the Austin-based parent company of BeatBox Beverages, is laying off 158 employees by 21 February. The cuts come six weeks after Anheuser-Busch acquired an 85% stake in BeatBox for $490 million, with an option to purchase the remainder within five years. BeatBox, known for its brightly coloured single-serve boxes of wine-based drinks, has experienced significant growth since appearing on "Shark Tank" in 2014, where it secured $1 million from Mark Cuban at a $1.8 million valuation. The company expected to reach over $340 million in sales through 2025. Future Proof Brands also owns Brizzy Seltzer Cocktails, Corkless Canned Wine and Chillitas. The Anheuser-Busch deal is expected to close by April.
