  • Three to five years of experience in research administration, finance, accounting, grant management, contracting, legal, or a related field is required.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred in Paralegal, Research, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Responsibilities
  • Develop clinical trial agreements, budgets, and coverage analyses for industry-sponsored clinical trials.
  • Complete research billing reviews in Epic by reviewing accounts and identifying charges billable to insurance or the clinical research study.
  • Invoice clinical trial sponsors for services provided to patients on clinical trials.
  • Maintain clinical billing procedures for research and identify process improvement initiatives.
  • Structure, negotiate, draft, and review Clinical Trial Agreements for MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper with industry sponsors for research studies.
  • Interpret clinical treatment plans and medical documentation to determine appropriate billing of clinical research charges.
  • Analyze and reconcile monthly grant summaries to ensure receipt of payment.
  • Prepare coverage analyses with the vendor and develop and review them with the Principal Investigator.
  • Coordinate the year-end closing of accounting records with Grants and prepare internal and external reports.
  • Assist in reviewing and monitoring compliance with the Director of Research Administration pertaining to sponsored research.
  • Coordinate receipt of documents from sponsors and version control of documents with industry sponsors for Clinical Trial Agreements.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators and grants management colleagues to support accurate billing and invoicing.
