Responsibilities
  • Monitoring external publications, market developments in market design and regulation change that could impact prices dynamics and translate and update fundamental model assumptions data set.
  • Building and improving long term power markets fundamental modeling
  • Analyzing and benchmarking trading model results (e.g. forwards) and proposing improvements and alignment with long term fundamental views.
  • Supporting our Trading and Commercial teams in creating a profitable portfolio by providing modeling and analysis of the profitability and risks of its different businesses.
  • Working cross-functionally across the business to develop and improve quantitative fundamental models.
  • Creating and updating presentations on market-related topics and liaison with other corporate teams such as government relations, regulatory, compliance, environment.
  • Directing and supporting consultant engagements as needed, analyzing third party forecasts while creating and implementing appropriate tools such as BI reports and AI tools.
  • Working closely with Trading, Commercial, Regulatory and Energy Markets to ensure alignment of parties on key assumptions and assess potential risks and opportunities for that market through activities such as analysis, reports, P&L and scenario analysis.
  • Managing internal and external resources, inclusive of activation and lead consultants to analyze, model, and construct market pricing forecast, cost of new entry (CONE), nodal prices, unit dispatches and gross margin projections of our assets in the jurisdiction.
  • Carrying specific analyses and making recommendations to Management to support Asset Management Plans, Hedging strategy, Budget, Long Term Plan , investments, and contracting opportunities.

Mr. MacIntosh has over 30 years of experience as a finance leader working in large, complex organizations within the global energy industry and brings expertise across multi-jurisdictional operations, cross-border transactions, energy trading and diverse regulatory landscapes. The event will highlight the Company's strategic priorities, 2030 growth targets, and 2026 guidance, underscoring Capital Power's position as a top-tier North American power producer serving the continent's growing electricity demand with reliable, efficient natural gas generation. 2025 Investor Day Highlights * 50% cumulative increase in U.S. capacity (or ~3.5 GW) * 13-15% annual Total Shareholder Return (TSR) * 8-10% annual AFFO per-share growth * Maintain 2-4% annual dividend growth target * A memorandum of understanding ("MOU") with funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO) ("Apollo Funds") to form a US$3 billion partnership to pursue the acquisition of merchant natural gas assets across the U.S. * A binding MOU to negotiate an Electricity Supply Agreement (ESA) in Alberta with an investment-grade data centre developer, strengthening Capital Power's role in powering the province's growing AI infrastructure.
